The recent International Tourism Fair in Berlin has become another great showcase for our great technological commitment in 2018, ‘Book&Payment’.

The development of this collection management platform -with all the standards and requirements in terms of security and card validation- is prepared to link the logic of the hotel business with the management of collections. All this is based on the premise that good sales administration entails precisely the association of pricing and collection policy. The aim is to adapt the way in which reservations are collected to the type of fare and offer that is being applied at any given time.

With our customers, channels and partners present at the Berlin trade fair, the Dingus sales team had the opportunity to exchange impressions on this technological solution and more specifically on the first step of the project: PCIconnect. This product results from a functionality that recovers credit cards from the reservations, sends them over PCI DSS certified methods and technology to the collection provider (TPV) for tokenization, custody of card data and sending to PMS of the result… all this without interfering in the operation of the sale and management.

We work so that this new technological challenge gives an effective response to the concern generated by the vulnerability of the data against hackers, or any type of breach of their security. We had the opportunity to tell Dingus customers like Lopesan. in Berlin. The group’s head of eCommerce, Eduardo Gómez de la Mata, also presented us with the hotel industry’s star project for expansion outside the Canary Islands: Hotel Costa Bavaro Resort & Spa, a future five-star hotel whose first stone has just been laid by the president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina.

At ITB we had very interesting meetings with Ramón Regás, Sales and Marketing Director of Abba Hoteles (a group mainly dedicated to an urban segment where Book&Payment will also have a lot to say) and with representatives from Mur Hotels, Faranda Hotels, Py Hotels & Resorts and El Tope Hotel.
