The International Cluster of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Tourism (Turistec) and the company AnySolution, expert in innovation, are organizing the first Women and Tourism Congress in Palma de Mallorca on May 15th. The event will be held at the CaixaForum in the Balearic capital, with the aim, say its promoters, of “give visibility to the female collective that is already part of the organizational and managerial structures of the tourism industry and that, however, rarely comes to mind when we think of people at the forefront of the sector. In my opinion, says Ordóñez, it is not due to any malicious strategy, but simply to the lack of visibility itself”.
According to the technical director of AnySolution and vice-president of International Organisms of the ICT-Tourism cluster “we are going to know the opinion and experiences of many of the women who not only work in the world of tourism, but also make their success possible. Our proposal is a journey through the different areas of tourism, from the hotel to the complementary offer, through technology and current trends in the sector, with the role of women in each of these activities as the protagonist.
Hitt Group has been invited to participate with its two brands, Etoolinnovation and Dingus. Specifically, Carmen Guerrero (general manager of our software Factory of technology and advanced products for the tourism industry) will intervene in the block of ‘women, tourism and technology’ moderated by Esther Mascaró (Hosteltur), while Paula Servera (business development manager of Dingus) will intervene in the ‘women, tourism and trends’ introduced by EFE agency journalist Susana López Lamata.
The congress is free with previous registration in the web http://www.mujeryturismo.com/ and will also have directors and delegates from companies such as TedQual in the World Tourism Organisation; CaixaBank and CaixaBank Hotels&Tourism; Grupo Piñero; Iberostar Hotels; Meliá; the Hotel Federation of Mallorca (FEHM); Association of Journalists of the Balearic Islands; Google Cloud; Brújula; IBM; Fevitur; Grupo Julià; Booking España; Trasmediterránea; Grupo Tast; Grupo Toledo; Mallorca Golf Island; Altura Destination Services and Círculo de Mujeres de Mallorca.
