The International Cluster of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Tourism (Turistec) and the company AnySolution, expert in innovation, are organizing the first Women and Tourism Congress in Palma de Mallorca on May 15th. The event will be held at the CaixaForum in the Balearic capital, with the aim, say its promoters, of give visibility to the female collective that is already part of the organizational and managerial structures of the tourism industry and that, however, rarely comes to mind when we think of people at the forefront of the sector. In my opinion, says Ordóñez, it is not due to any malicious strategy, but simply to the lack of visibility itself”.

According to the technical director of AnySolution and vice-president of International Organisms of the ICT-Tourism cluster “we are going to know the opinion and experiences of many of the women who not only work in the world of tourism, but also make their success possible. Our proposal is a journey through the different areas of tourism, from the hotel to the complementary offer, through technology and current trends in the sector, with the role of women in each of these activities as the protagonist.
