The XXXI edition of the Cancun Travel Mart has just closed its doors, with the firm commitment to reopen them in 2019 adding more Mexican states and growing this extraordinary tourist showcase. This year, 313 buyers and more than 300 suppliers took part. In 93 stands and more than 3,000 appointments, they closed sales of more than 3,500 million dollars.

The greatest uncertainty for hoteliers at the fair focused on reservations for the winter that are being somewhat slower than usual, although they expect to reach the occupancy of 85% recorded last year, with the challenge of maintaining rates and not continue to lower prices at the destination.

The ability to manoeuvre to cope with the ups and downs of the market and sales needs are precisely some of the advantages of Dingus products and services. For this reason, the team in the Caribbean has held about fifty scheduled meetings with hotels interested in knowing what our technology can do to simplify, optimize and make the sale profitable. The figures support us: to date we have a client portfolio of over a thousand hotels in 25 countries, more than 17,000 daily bookings are managed and we have over 15,500 active connectivities.

Solid professionals for Dingus Mexico

CTM

Dingus’ catalogue of advanced technological products for Caribbean hotels, with Bookincenter, Roomonline and the novel Book&Payment (PCI-Collection Manager) as our strongest and most recent commitment to collection security, was successfully defended at the fair by Dingus’ commercial team with its Sales Manager Caribbean at the front. For the company it is a pleasure to have made effective the incorporation of Gustavo Hernández to the Cancun office. From the facilities of Quintana-Roo, Hernández has already begun to deploy his knowledge and experience of more than 18 years of profession in tourism, occupying prominent positions in operational and commercial areas of different chains and the sector of the tour operator.

Among the Sales Manager’s intentions in the region is “the increase in Dingus’ positioning in the region, with the expansion of business in the Caribbean and an imminent strengthening of the brand and the team”. For this, the company has decided to strengthen the support staff by incorporating Eduardo Cruz as Caribbean Support Manager. Cruz comes from the headquarters of Dingus in Spain, where his professional career has been consolidated up to the moment of assuming the coordination of the mentioned support team in the Mexican delegation.

Hernández and Cruz are currently completing the workforce in the area, which will continue to grow in line with the consolidation of our portfolio of services and products.
