Not only to keep us in the market, but to ensure that our business model is adequate to meet both the needs of customers in new digital and technological scenarios, as well as those of the organization itself and its main value: the people who are part of it.

That’s why Hitt Group’s 2019 convention and its Dingus and Etoolinnovation brands focused this year on these two seemingly disparate but converging aspects on a business success.

Although a company insists on assuring that it is transforming itself digitally, “it will be difficult to do so if everything that this implies is not internalised and used on a daily basis by each and every one of the people in the organisation”. With this reflection of the CEO and co-founder of Hitt Group started the convention 2019 that we just held at the Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace. Jaume Monserrat set out the group’s challenges in the face of a technological reality that “is going very fast, generating such profound economic, social and cultural changes that we cannot even compare them with those caused a few years ago by the Internet or smartphones. For Dingus and Etoolinnovation, transformation means rebuilding the dynamics to adapt organizations and face the challenges of present and future competitiveness”. For Monserrat, digital transformation affects the business model, organizational ecosystem, activities and functions, experience, customers and partners, as well as organizational culture. However, “we are only passing through the process towards this transformation, something that requires a change of mentality that can still be consolidated, to culminate it“. In this way, Jaume Monserrat invited all those present to stop perceiving the new dynamics as a challenge for others, and to assume the digital transformation as teamwork: “we are in a station, and the important thing is not to get on the train or not. It is a question of achieving, among all of us, that it arrives at the destination we have set for ourselves. Hitt Group’s strategic plan already includes the evolution towards a new organisational culture. And not only to generate business and good economic results, also to create value with human teams, products and services that detect that customers need”.

The second presentation at the annual convention was shared by Juan Tomás-Verdera, Emilio Torrens and Jordi Cladera (CFO & Cofounder, CTO & Cofounder Etoolinnovation and CINO Etoolinnovation, respectively). The three of them put us in the figures we are working with: just a few months ago there were 184,299 hotels in the world offering almost 17 million rooms. Of these, around 34% have the range of 3, 4 and 5 stars. In this way, is it disproportionate to set the goal of reaching ten thousand hotels in our portfolio of clients? Our colleagues think not, and for that they deploy a roadmap with “more products, more services, more equipment, technology, process engineering, safety and innovation. But we have to ask ourselves where we are going with all this, and the answer is simple: towards data, towards the capacity to provide clients with the best management of the information generated to extract all their business possibilities”.

As we indicated at the beginning, Dingus and Etoolinnovation as brands and the corporate Hitt Group, bet on the 2019 annual meeting for reinforce the values that allow us to evolve as business organizations where the main asset are people. As a form of motivational training, on this occasion we had Víctor Peña (founder of Coaching for Excellence), with whom we were able to visualize personal relationships, existing or necessary synergies, and the proposals for improvement that we can all put forward.
