The General Assembly of the International Cluster of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Tourism held in Parc Bit (the technology park of Mallorca) has re-elected Jaume Monserrat (Hitt Group-Dingus and Etooltech) by majority vote as president. This will be the third mandate of the mallorcan entrepreneur at the head of a project that has just undergone a process of refoundation and a statutory change that will expand the sphere of influence of the collective to companies that are not necessarily technological (although they do represent the tourism industry and the innovation and training segments).

Monserrat counts for the next two years with the same permanent commission composed of three vice-presidencies: Innovation (José Alberto Terrasa, Quonext Turismo); Internationalization (Mateo Ramón, Grupo Piñero) and Eurekatourism + (Dr. Carlos Juiz, UIB, University of the Balearic Islands), as well as the secretary (Pepe Urios, MarkSite) and the treasurer (Tiago Barro, Binary Menorca).

The board of vowels is formed by Inma Benito (FEHM executive president, hotel business federation of Mallorca); Jordi Mora (Forempresa and president SME-Mallorca); Pep Lluís Vidal (Brújula); Alejandro Forcades (SM2) and Pedro Roser (Dome Consulting). They join the new project Dolores Ordóñez (AnySolutions) and Javier Pérez (Customia), and maintains the possibility of integrating other vowels to expand the sphere of influence of the cluster. At present, the specific weight of each sector in the new committee is divided as follows: 57% IT (technology) 21% tourism and 21% innovation and training.

As for the committee of experts created by Turistec a little more than a year ago to advise the cluster and to have prescribers of recognized prestige in the field of technology, tourism and knowledge, the professor of Applied Economics Antoni Riera (as technical director of the Impulsa Baleares Foundation) is integrated into the team formed by Fermín Calvo, Josep Romagosa and Juan Mulet.

The approach with which Monserrat faces the new mandate is based on four lines of action:

.- Insigths 2020: programa de desarrollo estratégico de Turistec

.- 360º value review: value development program offered by the cluster to the market on behalf of the partners

.- Extra Mile: Program to promulgate the value of the product and capture new lines of business

.- Technical office: development and management of services aimed at increasing efficiency.

The new stage of Turistec, technological cluster of which Hitt Group is partner, will be very marked by the services to the members, especially in the participation in technological calls, the promotion of their portfolios of products, access to grants and funding programs and legal / tax advice, besides the concurrence to national and international projects of interest for the ecosystem of companies of the cluster, among others.
